Helgard Patemann-Hinz, Kulturanthropologin.

VITA

Helgard Patemann-Hinz wurde in (West-) Berlin geboren und wuchs in einem Dorf in Hessen auf. Studium an Universitäten in Frankfurt, Bremen und Süd-Afrika  (Soziologie, Philosophie, Psychologie, Ethnologie, Theologie, Pädagogik). Beruflich engagiert in Sozialwissenschaftlicher Grundlagen- und angewandter Forschung nördliches und südliches Afrika, u.a. mit langem Auslandsaufenthalt in Namibia (1990 bis 2010). Schwerpunkte: Dorfgeschichte, worldviews, Ethik, Entkolonisierung, Curriculumplanung. Autorin und Herausgeberin von Buchpublikationen, Aufsätzen, Artikeln. Ehrenamtlich tätig in Ökumene und Diakonie.

Lebt heute in einem Dorf in Niedersachsen und schreibt literarische Texte.

*) CASS steht für Centre for Applied Social Sciences (Incorporated Association not for Gain), Windhoek/Namibia. CASS nahm mit der Unabhängigkeit Nambias im Jahr 1990 seine Aktivitäten in Namibia auf. Es setzte damit die im Rahmen des Namibia Projektes der Universität Bremen begonnene Kooperation mit dem Institut der Vereinten Namibia für Namibia in Lusaka, Sambia, fort. Mit der Konsolidierung des namibischen Staates erfüllte CASS den maßgeblichen Teil seiner Aufgaben in den Bereichen nationale Curriculumplanung, sozialwissenschaftliche und juristische Bildung und  Ausbildung, angewandte Forschung, sowie Training von lokalen Fachkräften, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Universität von Namibia und verschiedenen Ministerien. Übergabe und Schließung von CASS erfolgte 2010.
